Here's a piccy I started drawing last night and finished today.

This is a compilation piccy of some of mine and Skye's ( a friend I met online not too long ago, she's a fan of Shou too! ^_^ ) original characters.

All of these men.. Mortimer, Jacob, Julius, Shou and Samuel all have something in common.. they had all become victims of their own work in one way or another.

Mortimer Larke ( Skye's ) - was a man who came up with the idea of reanimating cadavers; he earned the alchemist title as the 'Abiogenius Alchemist' since he could revamp limbs, body tissue and also a body ( however the bodies ended up becoming zombies)

However.. to do his research, it turned out that he had gone to robbing graves to get the cadavers needed.. and when his wife found out, she pleaded with him not to go any deeper into the research.

Then Basque Gran started to pressurise Mortimer into creating something really brilliant..otherwise he'd lose his license as a State Alchemist.

Mortimer started to work harder to achieve that.. and while his son wanted him to play with him rather than work on research, his wife had started to have an affair with one of his assistants.

When Mortimer found out he was understandably angry..and he burnt down the apartment while his wife and her lover were inside.. however he didn't know that his son Anthony was inside.. and when he heard his boy crying out for his Dad from inside the house, Morty went and tried to rescue his little boy.

Unfortunately he didn't succeed in doing so, and suffered from severe burns.. after all that; he used his own research on himself, by transmuting the skin from the cadavers to try and mend the damage that had been done to him; he now has stitches all over his body.

The poor man still suffers from flashbacks of the burning building and his son crying out for his Dad even now..

Julius Loxias ( Skye's) - was a man who specialised in creating diseases through alchemy and earned that state alchemist nickname as the ' Sanguine Alchemist' , his son had died from Cancer at the age of seven years old.. and his wife Miranda had died in childbirth when giving birth to their second child.. a girl named Samantha/Stephanie.
( although the name varies between the RP and fanfiction)

After Skye Tannheuser had been stripped from her title as a State Alchemist, Julius took over her work, developing diseases and vaccine's.

Julius's daughter was a very sickly girl who was confined to a wheelchair.. and had to be looked after by a nurse.
Her father also had to do alchemic practices on her body just to keep her alive..however, what he didn't know was that he was turning his daughter into a nosferatu.

In the fanfiction, his own daughter is what kills him; after Edward throws Julius at her..and she doesn't hesistate in sucking his soul out of him.

Samuel Hunton ( mine ) - was a man who devoted himself to studying biogenetics and animal DNA.
He never actually became an alchemist as such..but happened to learn a fair it about it from his childhood friend, Shou Tucker.

In time he developed a serum which could alter a person's DNA and turn them into an animal.
Unfortunately, the people he worked for wanted him to test it out ..just so they knew that it would work.

In the end, he ended up using his own ten year old daughter Kushia..and wound up with her being a Behometh..needless to say, his research was then welcomed with open arms.

Samuel lived in a cloud of guilt afterwards..and then tried to develop a cure for Kushia...he hasn't been able to find one yet.

Jacob Tucker ( mine) - Was Shou's father.. he had been studying alchemy for a very long time.. he was also a State Alchemist.. and specialised in 'Deconstruction Alchemy' where he could take one thing..and seperate it into it's original compounds.

It had all started when he had originally left the family in order to find a job in doing alchemy.. however it ended up in him being away for years; he still sent home money to Shou and Emily.. but because of his line of work, he thought it best not to return home.

Then not too long after Emily ( Shou's mother) had died..Shou finally came to live with his father after hearing from him again, bringing along the family cat.

And Jacob continued with his research into alchemy..
Eventually he went a bit overboard and ended up transmuting two things that were precious to Shou's mother..and Shou himself.

When confronted by his own son, Jacob just laughed and said that ' it could of been worse..I could of transmuted you and your mother!'

Eventually the rift between father and son lifted ( but only slightly..) but one day Jacob had been kicked out of the military..since in their eyes, his alchemy was no longer needed and failed the assessment.

After that Jacob gave up the will to live..then burnt his own research notes before he eventually hung himself, only for Shou to discover him.

And of course there's Shou Tucker.. he was pressured by Basque..and eventually ended up transmuting his own daughter and dog into a talking chimera.

The words featured here are different variations of Shou's speech, from the manga, anime- DVD sub version and dub version.
The pictures depict the various things that happened in this tragic story of madness, obsession, loss, alchemy..and science.

Mortimer Larke, Stephanie/Samantha and Julius Loxias belong to Skye.

Samuel Hunton, Kushia Hunton and Jacob Tucker belong to me ( Rebecca Mason)

Quotes come from Shou Tucker.

Shou Tucker, Nina Tucker and Alexander belong to Hiromu Arakawa, BONES, Square Enix.

Man....they're all nuts. That's what happens, I suppose, when you get that deep into forbidden terratory. There are some things man in not meant to meddle in and the fields of anything that has to do with the human body and life is a big one. Great drawing and those are all very interesting characters!
